We drove with a friend of mine, Andrea, in a tightly packed car, to participate and I was hoping for good results with Vista (we were shooting for 100 points) and good results with Dís, to get the last leg and get moved up to the next class and get the title Rally Beginner Champion (either written as Rally-B or RBM, have seen both but I like RBM more). We were there in good time because I wasn't sure in what order the classes were competing and we ended up sitting and watching all the other competitors because the beginner class was last. During the wait it started raining quite hard, and that tought me the lesson never to leave the telt at home !
Andrea was first in the track with Helga, and did a good exam in the Öved class with 92 points and 3. place. The beginner class was next and me and Vista were first up.
Dís was up next and did increadibly well, she doesn't have the same energy level as Vista but is very safe and calm
We had sitten with a girl who trains agility at VAS too and has a Kooikerhondje bitch, and we were admiring the pretty rosetts they had. We were kidding around that it fit perfectly if we would take one each. Then when the results were being read up we were standing there as the only two left when, and first to third place had still not been read, she got third place and I stood there with the top two dogs in the class. You can hardly imagine how proud and happy I was to have the top two dogs. The judged had talked about before the prize ceremony, that the beginner class had presented the best work of the day.
Today Dís has gotten her first title, Rally-B, and her official name today is Rally-B Morastaða Korka. This is the first ever title I get on my own dog, and hopefully there are plenty more to come.
