Þorri from Reykjavík
Most people recognise having desires and hopes when it comes to breeding. At least that is what I had when I took Þrá to have a foal with Þokki, I wanted a brown mare with Þokki's neck, movement, carriage and ability from both parents. When the offspring was born (off course I was convinced that here would be my brown mare) and a red horse, with two stars, greeted us with his mother, I must admit I was surprised. Some people have the habit of bashing me out for complaining about having colourfull horses, but there will come the day when I have my very own brown horse. But the little guy didn't disapoint me in any other way and I am completly convinced that he was at the time the most beautifull horse ever born in Grímsnes (not that I am unbiased at all). From his father he got his long swanlike neck, and boy did he like to strut his stuff. It didn't hurt that he is extreamly fotogenic, and therefore I have quite alot of pictures of him.
He was in fact so interesting that it didn't take long for someone to try and buy him, and in the end I got an offer I couldn't refuse, so now he belongs to my mother. He didn't really go that far, and I will have the oppertunety to watch him grow and develope. He is still just a teenager and not likely that he will start any training anytime soon.
